After much ado, and thinking i did not read the left behind series given to me it was so strange when i made that personal decision not to read the book at least for now, and this is why.
I come from a good family, and every christmas, i came to notice the end of the world theme every tv station would give thesame message; yes the world will end... eventually but we never really look at the other side of the story. Am sick and tired of people telling about how hell looks like, as if they are tour guides for it, and yet no one i have seen has a good perseption about what heaven looks like. As a friend once told me, i don't bother about what the world would look like when it ends because i don't intend on being there when it happens......
i don't intend on being in hell or knowing more than the usual about it because i don't intend on going there.
Let's keep a view on heaven for once, let's focus on it, let's dream of being at Jesus's feet, or walk with him, or even just plainly see the crown we would be rewarded when we finish the long and stiff race, let's no longer live a life filled with fear of going to hell, but with confidence that if we focus on him and him alone we would walk with him forever.
And as for the end of the world.... i don't intend on being there when it happens also.
But come to think of it, why so much publicity on hell and the end of the world, in my own opinion it is for us feel sad about those who will not make it out of here if we do not strive to preach the word of God to them, but today it has been abused, men feel fear will drive us to God's presence, but it only gives us a narrow and hipocritical view of things. The Devil rebranded his product long before many of us noticed and has used media to promote how gloomy his place looks, knowing that it is not enough to preach about how it looks and feels.Sure men and women have changed because of this. But long do expect a man to change if all we do is give a good tour of how hell looks like?..............
