Now for those of you that does not know the NYSC scheme. You can just google it.
You guessed right i've been out of it for sometime.
I went back to school to get my call up letter (thats the stuff they give you when you are going to camp where ever they post or some people refer to throw you to).
So,
For example lets say you after all your hard work in classes and a great grades were posted to a place in Nigeria that you don't even know existed in the map (believe me this happens to most people i saw), the first thing you do is to check the great map of Nigeria to see how far it is from your current postion, then you ask people around you if you are the only one "thrown" there. Then if you are luckly start making preparations on you journey with others and if not, you are on your own. Fortunately and unfortunately for me i was close to home infact too close to home (Niger) and the fact that i was the only one posted there was even more incredible, it had it's advantages and it's disadvantages.
what is camp??, you can say it is a place where orientation about the place you will serve is done.
When i got there, it sight to behold, people from all over the country were posted here.
My first experience is something thing to remember. When i got through the gate of the camp i had to show my identity card and my call up card to the security gaurds. Then i was told to join the queue not long after i joined it a guy came behind me and adviced me to go in front of the queue to inquire about the queue i just joined, he told me that there was something i needed to do before joining the queue, i was reluctant but i went forward and found out he was right. It only shows to show the level of distrust i had for people i don't know when i get to a place. It was fun being there.
